June 13, 2008 - Japanese company unveil water-powered car!!

The Japanese just might save the day (and the world)!

I've been monitoring the progress of this technology (ergo the site name, ayt) and Japanese company Genepax looks like the first to hit the mainstream on water fuel cells. Takeaways of this Reuters report include:

- 1 liter of water can make the car run at 80 km/h
- internal distillation: can use rain, sea, tea or even piss
- Genepax will gear for mass production with a Japanese manufacturer


To take this idea to a stretch, table-top water fuel cells may likewise be developed and marketed as home generators thus solving our energy and economic woes!

I'm all ears to the future.

UFO Sighting in Bacolod - approx. 10pm, May 29th '08

At approximately 10:00 pm, I spotted a UFO in the Eastern sky of Bacolod City. I was driving on my way home along Burgos Road (eastward going to Lopue's) when I noticed an unusual glow in the night sky. It was too bright and its position was too low to be any kind of celestial body. It wasn't an aircraft because it remained stationary.

One common sentiment these so-called liberators-thru-music shared is vision, literally. People have to see what they hear, be it on MTV or in a live performance. A chiefly auditory-driven industry with visual preoccupations is fundamentally skewed to say the least. And while live performances provide a first-hand means for an audience to experience music, the Philippine reality of being an archipelago (and the whole financial limitation associated with it) lends a vast logistical difficulty. Unless we are content with providing opportunities only to metro inhabitants which have been exactly the case for this country, thus inhibiting all forms of equal representation!
